Opened in June 2013, Wayra CEE in Prague is one of the youngest academies in the accelerator’s global network. It is about to celebrate its first big success with one of its graduating companies securing a significant round of investment.
Wayra CEE strives to be a first-class accelerator, supporting start-up communities in the entire region while also drawing international attention to the great potential of its entrepreneurs.

In the current Global Call, Wayra CEE is looking for digital start-ups, and is particularly keen to hear from entrepreneurs working in the connected devices, big data and future web sectors.
Wayra CEE’s expanding network of mentors has global expertise and connections to YCombinator, renowned Silicon Valley “super angel” investor Ron Conway, and serial entrepreneur Steve Blank.
Successful applicants to the academy will receive €40,000 of investment, a well- structured acceleration programme and the opportunity to tap Telefónica and O2’s 300 million customers.
The start-ups will also have the benefit of Wayra’s global network and dedicated ground support.
