AHEAD cordially invites you to a Question and Answer session with Spiro Boua, entrepreneur and co-Founder of California based LitePoint Corporation.
Spiros was born and raised in Corfu, educated in the US, and has spent his entire career commercializing innovation in Silicon Valley. He has held senior roles in most business functions to include Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Finance. In 2000, Spiros together with his two partners Dr. Benny Madsen and Dr. Christian Olgaard, founded LitePoint Corporation. LitePoint was entirely bootstrapped with no outside VC capital injection and grew profitably from customer revenue to become the leader in wireless test. Today more than 70% of all wirelessly enabled devices in the world, devices such as Smartphones, Tablets, PCs, music players etc are functionally tested and calibrated before they ship to end customers using LitePoint equipment. LitePoint is used by most major electronics brands as serves hundreds of customers worldwide. In 2011 LitePoint Corporation was acquired by Teradyne Corporation. Spiros is a graduate of the University of Rochester and Phillips Exeter Academy and holds several patents in the area of wireless system design.
Spiros will answer questions drawn from his experience as an entrepreneur, from the early days of bootstrapping the company with no VC funding, through rapid and profitable growth and eventually acquisition, a 12 year cycle. In this “Anatomy of a Breakthrough” discussion he will share with us some of the key ingredients that allowed his team to commercialize innovation, and the importance of focus, expertise, teamwork and leadership.
