“Space Opportunities in Greece and ESA”

    Από: Startup Team

Το [SG]Greece 2018 θα διεξαχθεί σε συνεργασία με την πρυτανεία του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου (ΕΜΠ) και την Electrical Engineering Students’ European Association (EESTEC), ενώ έχει την υποστήριξη των: Χαροκόπειο Πανεπιστήμιο, International Space University (ISU), Εργαστήριο Μεταβαλλόμενων Ευφυών Περιβαλλόντων Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης (TUC-TIE Lab), Libre Space Foundation (LSF), Olympian Centre for Astrophysics (OCfA), OHB Hellas, si-Cluster, Space Applications and Research Consultancy (SPARC), Μουτζούρα – εταιρεία γραφικών τεχνών, Greek NewSpace Society, Euroavia Athens και Chemecon.

“Space Opportunities in Greece and ESA” (In English)

The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) is an international non-profit volunteer organization operating under the auspices of the United Nations (UN). Its goal is to promote the benefits of space exploration, technology and science and to inspire the new generation.

SG[Greece] 2018 – Space Opportunities in Greece and ESA (bit.ly/2DpOcCz) is an upcoming SGAC local event aiming to promote space-related career development for the new generation of Greek students and young professionals. It will mainly focus on the dissemination of information regarding opportunities to get involved in the Greek space sector and the European Space Agency (ESA).

SG[Greece] 2018 will be a 1-day short informative event with talks open to the public (free admission), to be hosted on November 23, 2018 at the Ceremony Hall of the National Technical University of Athens. The venue is located at the Administration and Management Building, 15704, Zografos, Athens, Greece (EU) {goo.gl/maps/J5ZKg6b1CAK2}.

SG[Greece] 2018 will be organized as part of the ESA- and SGAC-supported European Space Talks initiative. Speakers will share their experience of working in space institutes and companies in Greece or abroad, raise awareness regarding a career in the space sector and talk about scientific missions, technology applications, spin-offs, education and other capabilities.

As in 2017, SG[Greece] 2018 envisions to bring together stakeholders from all subsets of the space sector (industry, academia, state institutions and the general public), as well as to gather input across all disciplines by promoting discussion and productive exchange of opinions. To that end, the event will offer time for Q&As, networking and mentoring.

Space is an interdisciplinary arena and consequently attendants from all backgrounds are welcome at SG[Greece] 2018. Greek will be the official language of the talks, but English-speaking enthusiasts are also welcome to attend. SG[Greece] 2018 is organised in collaboration with the Deanery of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Electrical Engineering Students’ European Association (EESTEC) Athens. The event is also supported by the Harokopio University of Athens (HUA), the International Space University (ISU), the Transformable-Intelligent Laboratory of the Technical University of Crete (TUC-TIE Lab), the Libre Space Foundation (LSF), the Olympian Centre for Astrophysics (OCfA), OHB Hellas, the si-Cluster, Space Applications and Research Consultancy (SPARC), Moutzoura graphic arts company, the Greek NewSpace Society, Euroavia Athens and Chemecon.
